BSW ICB welcomes NHS Chief Executive
Leaders from BSW Integrated Care Board met with NHS Chief Executive Amanda Pritchard recently during a visit to Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. in Swindon
During the visit, Amanda met with GWH Chief Executive Kevin McNamara and BSW ICB Chief Executive Sue Harriman and Chair Stephanie Elsy. Amanda heard about the hospital’s Integrated Front Door plans, which are happening thanks to £31.8 million of national funding. She also saw the work underway to develop a new integrated Emergency and Urgent Care Service.
Staff and volunteers from across the Trust were given the chance to meet Amanda, who also visited the Integrated Care Alliance Coordination Centre.
Amanda also visited GWH’s Pharmacy department to hear about developments in medicine across the Acute Hospital Alliance.
In line with the recently announced NHS Workforce Plan, Amanda heard about the drive to improve the equity of training and NHS career opportunities for young people in Swindon through the hospital’s partnership work with New College Swindon, NHS Cadets, and apprenticeships.
