Hello and welcome to the June issue of the Triangle
We’ll be marking a very special occasion across Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire next month when the National Health Service celebrates its 75th anniversary.
The NHS belongs to us all and, although our BSW Integrated Care System is made up of health and care partners from both NHS and non-NHS organisations, we are all working together to address health inequalities and plan services to better meet the needs of our number one priority – our patients and local people.
The 75th anniversary of the NHS is a truly significant landmark and one that gives us time to reflect on the many achievements of our Health Service and to look ahead to the opportunities we have to shape the next 75 years.
And, although the future is unwritten, we know that here in BSW, we will continue to work collectively as health and care partners on behalf of our citizens to design new proactive models of care, find innovative ways to run our services and improve health and wellbeing for all today and for future generations.
You can read more about how we plan to celebrate the anniversary of the NHS in this issue of The Triangle.
You can also find out more about some of the innovative ways our partner organisations have been working together. Our hospitals are part of an Acute Hospitals Alliance and have been working to tackle local challenges, improve patient outcomes, and enhance resilience. In this issue of The Triangle, you can watch a short film explaining how the alliance works and hear from Chief Executives talking about their hopes for the future.
Thank you once again for taking the time to read and, as always, please let us know what you think by emailing bswicb.partnership@nhs.net
