Salisbury hospital staff look forward to work more than anyone else

Staff at Salisbury District Hospital look forward to going to work more than anyone else in the NHS.

Data from the most recent NHS Staff Survey showed that colleagues based at the Wiltshire hospital had the highest positive response when questioned about looking forward to work each day.

Each year, the NHS Staff Survey hears from more than 700,000 health and care colleagues about their experience of working for the country’s largest employer.

Lisa Thomas, Managing Director, Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust, said: “I am delighted that this year’s annual NHS Staff Survey has seen our hospital achieve some great scores.

“Besides once again being ranked the most improved acute trust in the country, the survey also showed that Salisbury is ranked first for staff looking forward to going to work.

“In addition, we’re in the top quarter of all acute trusts for seven of the nine key indicators of the People Promise, which is an outstanding result.

“I must congratulate every single member of staff for not just delivering excellent care under pressure but also striving to make our hospital the best place to work.

“However, we’re not complacent, and will continue to strive to provide outstanding experience for staff as well as our patients.”

The results of the NHS Staff Survey are one of a number of metrics used by the trust to determine how it prioritises resources and improves hospital life.
