The 'fourth trimester' is a term often used to describe the first twelve weeks after the birth of a baby.

During your pregnancy you will be offered regular appointments with a midwife, GP and or

Obstetrician. They check that you and your baby are well, give you support and information

about your pregnancy to help you make informed choices. We would also recommend that

dads-to-be consider looking at the Dad Pad

How often you are seen varies from woman to woman, and the frequency may change

during the pregnancy depending on your circumstances. Please view the video here for

information about the schedule of appointments.
