Public invited to attend BSW Partnership Board Meeting – Friday 19 November

Members of the public are invited to attend the next meeting of the BSW Partnership Board on Friday 19 November from 9am to 12pm.

The meeting will see officials from health and care organisations across Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire meet virtually to discuss a number of issues.

Items being discussed at the meeting include an Urgent and Emergency Care Strategy which has been developed to help shape sustainable services.

The strategy looks at how urgent and emergency care services in Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire will develop over the next five years by working in partnership with community and primary care services.

Stephanie Elsy, Chair designate of the BSW Partnership, said:

“This is an exciting time for the development of our health and care partnership as local organisations work together in a much more integrated way to improve the health and wellbeing of our local population, improve the quality and experience of care and look to address the health and care inequalities that exist locally.

“We are an open and transparent partnership and we want to ensure that local people are at the very heart of our decision making processes, so I would encourage anyone with an interest in the future of health and care services to attend our meeting.”

The BSW Partnership comprises of local health and care organisations, including the region’s three acute hospital trusts, mental health trust, community providers, local authorities and voluntary sector organisations. All are committed to working as one and across organisational boundaries to meet the health and care needs of the local population, as well as improve existing services.

Overseen by designate Chair Stephanie Elsy, the Board is made up of representatives from each partner organisation, and is responsible for setting the priorities for health and care services across BSW and making sure those ambitions are achieved.
