BSW ICB starts 2023 with January Board meeting in public
The BSW ICB started the new year with a Board Meeting in public at the Guildhall in Bath on January 12th.
In her opening remarks, BSW Chair Stephanie Elsy highlighted the unprecedented pressures the BSW system had been under over the preceding months and passed on her assurance to the public that system partners were doing everything in their power to ensure local services were running effectively and safely. She also passed on her thanks to staff and volunteers who have worked so hard over the recent festive period.
The agenda included discussions on industrial action, winter pressures, the development of an Integrated Care Strategy for BSW and priorities and operation guidance for 2023/24. More information about the development of the Integrated Care Strategy will be passed on at the next meeting of the BSW Integrated Care Partnership. The group also heard from Pam Webb, ICB Partner Member for the Voluntary Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector and CEO of Voluntary Action Swindon and Kate Morton, CEO of Bath Mind. Pam and Kate offered an update on how the VCSE sector was supporting people to age well in Bath and North East Somerset through initiatives such as the Community Wellbeing Hub.
