Council’s adult social care services rated good
Wiltshire Council’s work with adults who need social care has been rated good by the Care Quality Commission.
Inspectors summed up the findings in their report, which read: “People told us staff went above and beyond when working alongside adults and their carers in Wiltshire.”
The report also noted that work was continuing to improve waiting times and assessing need.
They found that those on waiting lists benefitted from a “waiting well” approach, in which people had information and access to local services.
Cllr Jane Davies, Cabinet Member for Adult Social Care, Wiltshire Council, said: “Some of those needing adult social care are the most vulnerable in our communities and they should expect to receive the highest standards of care and support.
“As a council we are about actions not words, and through adapting, improving and learning, we are striving to be better.”
