Integrated Care Partnership takes stock and looks to the future
Taking stock of achievements and plotting a course for the future were the two key items under discussion at a recent meeting of the BSW Integrated Care Partnership (BSW ICP).
The BSW ICP is a joint committee formed by the BSW Integrated Care Board (BSW ICB), Bath and North East Somerset Council, Swindon Borough Council and Wiltshire Council that brings together a wide range of organisations and stakeholders to focus on prevention, wider social and economic factors affecting people’s health and reducing health inequalities.
The meeting was attended by partner organisation leaders from across BSW and heard updates on the BSW Implementation Plan brought to life through inspirational presentations on what has been achieved in work taking place across BSW affecting children and young people and those affected by learning disabilities and autism.
The agenda also covered a future development path for the ICP and plans to look, in turn, at three objectives of prevention and early intervention, developing fairer health and wellbeing outcomes and providing excellent health and care services.
Three ICP meeting dates have been scheduled for 2024 on March 12, July 10 and November 26 at Trowbridge County Hall. More information on these will be available on the BSW Integrated Care Board website at https://bsw.icb.nhs.uk/calendar-events/
Chair of the BSW ICP and Leader of Wiltshire Council Cllr Richard Clewer said: “The ICP meeting gave health and care partners across BSW an opportunity to hear about our Implementation Plan and some of the great work that is going on to make life better for children and young people and those affected by learning disabilities and autism. It also sets a course for future development that will make sure we deliver on our promises.”
