Region’s mental health provider rated good
Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust has received a rating of good from the Care Quality Commission.
The region’s mental health provider was recognised for its mental health acute mental health wards, along with its community mental health services, which were inspected in June of last year.
As well as being rated good, inspectors from the healthcare regulator noted that the trust had made significant improvements since its previous inspection.
Inspectors found that staff were passionate about their work and had a shared vision to provide person-centre care to patients.
Feedback from patients was also included in the report, with staff being described as supportive, caring and kind.
Sarah Jones, Director of Nursing, Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust, said: “We are extremely proud that the significant improvements made across these services have been reflected in this report.
“Our staff and teams deserve huge credit for the progress they have made.
“While we are pleased to receive a good rating, we will remain focussed on building on these improvements, so all patients and carers can receive services which are safe and effective, while also having a positive all-round experience.”
