Love for local health and care services this Valentine’s Day

Colleagues and members of the public across BSW have been showing their love for local health and care services in the run up to Valentine’s Day next week.

Following a recent request from the BSW ICB Communications and Engagement Team, colleagues have been spreading the love for our local services as part of a campaign to highlight the excellent work going on across BSW.

Feedback received so far has highlighted the whole team at Giffords Surgery in Melksham who “just keep smiling and giving and carry on!”

“This winter has been another tough one and all team members have gone above and beyond to meet the huge surge in demand.  There were many late nights to ensure all those patients who needed seeing were seen,” said one valentine’s nominator.

The team at St Augustine’s surgery in Keynsham also earned lots of admirers with admin staff, managers, secretaries and workflow teams all battling uphill on a daily basis to do the very best for patients.

Sara Roper, practice manager at Heart of Bath surgery also earned some well-deserved praise for hard work during a difficult period. “She has endeavoured to bring staff working across multiple sites together as one team,” her nominator said.

If you would like to thank a particular service or team who has gone above and beyond in recent weeks and have them recognised in the campaign which aims to showcase the consistent good work happening across the region, then please get in touch by sending your messages to bswicb.communications@nhs.net.
