Get involved in our ICB Board meetings in public and have your say

The BSW Integrated Care Board was formally established at an inaugural meeting in public on Friday 1st July.

The meeting presented the first opportunity for our members to come together and begin work as an Integrated Care Board. Although much of the meeting was taken up with governance issues, including the approval of the governance framework and appointments to boards and committees, the event presented a successful way to mark the start of BSW ICB’s journey.

The meeting also saw the formal establishment of the ICB Board, an 18-member decision making body made up from representatives from local health and wellbeing organisations, Non-Executive Directors and Voluntary Community and Social Enterprise groups. The Board will ensure that the ICB has appropriate arrangements in place to exercise its functions efficiently, effectively and economically, and in accordance with principles of good governance.

As our new ICB moves forward, we have a number of ways you can get involved and join our journey to better integrate health and care.

The ICB Board will hold its next meeting on Tuesday August 30th, details are available here.

Members of the public will be able to join to observe the meeting. Please register your interest by emailing bswicb.communications@nhs.net

Members of the public can also submit questions to the BSW ICB Board. Please email bswicb.communications@nhs.net with any questions at least seven working days before the meeting. The responses will be read out by our Chair at the start of each meeting and are published online with the meeting papers.

The BSW ICB is also keen to give the opportunity for the public to ask questions more openly and the mechanisms to support this will be further developed.

Additionally, you can find out about our engagement work by signing up to receive our People and Communities Bulletin by sending an email to bswicb.engagement@nhs.net
